Shared Borders?

M

Michael Pratz

Hi all,
I would like try to keep my shared borders from moving with the rest of the
page. I have a shared border on the left of the page and it moves when
scrolling the rest of the page down. Is it a frame? I was trying to do it
without haveing a scrollbar on the side of the shared border, where all my
links are. I am useing MS Frontpage 2002.
Thanks for your time,
Mike

Yeah, you need to put your border into a frame.

Click on File/New
Then choose "more" kinds of pages
And click the Frames Page tab
Choose the Contents frame
The frames page opens.
Click Initial Page to insert your border
Navigate to the _borders folder, open it and click on "left"
Click OPEN
Presto -- you have a navigation panel in the left frame. When you click a
link, it will open to the right of the frame. When you scroll the page, the
nav frame will stay put.

If you want it to open when the website is first addressed, first rename
your old Home page from "index" to "home," and designate home.htm as the
initial page in the main frame. Then save your frame page as index.htm
