Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

user with read capability to shared calendar - can see cal using Outlook 2003, cannot see same calendar using Entourage 2008 for Mac.

Does not appear to be permissions issue.
Software is fully updated.
tried setting "type" to addressbook or Inbox, neither of those work either.

Suggestions ?

When connecting to the shared folder, click the little Address Book icon
so that you can view Advanced settings. Does this allow you to do a more
accurate lookup of the account?

Hi Bill,

thanks for your input.

we know exactly which shared group calendar we are attaching, the full A to Z process works on for the user on his PC.

When trying to connect to the shared group calendar on the user's Mac running Entourage 2008, the user never succeeds, gets error "that calendar is not available" or other messages depending on whether he tries to add the resource as a:

A. Calendar
B. Addressbook
C. Inbox

So far, no permutation allows this user to see the shared Exchange 2003 group calendar from Entourage 2008.

Now - there is a documented issue - read all about it at - <http://support.microsoft.com/?id=924608>

in this article - MS discusses almost exactly the issue this user is facing - albeit with Entourage 2004.

The suggested workarounds, might work, if I could only identify:

1. the "full user name" associated to an Exchange 2003 group calendar

2. the "full URL" associated to an Exchange 2003 group calendar

I havent determined yet how these are possible....

Any insight would be most appreciated.

Best,

Niteboater

Are you trying to connect to a calendar other than "Calendar"? Entourage
does not support connecting to a secondary calendar.
