Shared Features and Office tools in different 2007 suites

I currently have Office 2007 Standard Edition running on my computer, and
I've bought a license and media for the 2007 Enterprise Suite in order to add
the programs that I don't have at the moment (OneNote in particular). I've
spoken to a number of IT people, who tell me I can simply add the programs
not currently installed (via a custom install), and that all the programs
will function fine despite the fact that different programs will have
different product keys. However, in the process of running the setup to add
the Enterprise programs that were not included with my Standard media, and I
noticed that the ‘Office Shared Features’ of the Enterprise edition had some
additional fonts that could be added that are not included in the Standard
media. That made me wonder if the Shared Features and Office Tools more
generally were the same between the two suites, and if it would matter
whether I had them running with the Enterprise vs Standard product keys.
Will all of the office programs be able to access them regardless? If I
uninstall the Shared Features from the standard media in order to reinstall
it with the Enterprise media (thus getting the additional fonts)- will my
existing word, excel, etc. programs still find the features OK? Is it
possible to just add the additional fonts with the Enterprise key to the
Shared Features running under the Standard key, or should I uninstall that
entire component (the Shared Office Features)? The reason I am not doing a
complete uninstall of the Standard Edition and full install of the Enterprise
suite is to maintain all of the customizations, etc. I have made to those
core Standard programs. Advice? Thanks!

My suggestion would be to uninstall Std Edition, reboot install your new
version
Enterprise is a volume license to presumably you scourced it from a
legitimate scource
