Shared folder updates going to wrong places

Hello,

I have a problem with people using Outlook to share their
contacts and calendars. In one instance, several salesmen
are sharing their Contacts folders with their manager. In
another instance, one marketing person shares a separate
calendar folder containing trade show dates and times. In
both cases, the updates are not only being sent to the
intended recipients, but to other people on our company
network who aren't intended recipients. I've checked the
recipient lists of the people sharing these folders, and
the people receiving these updates by mistake are not on
these lists. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions on
tracking down and eliminating this problem.
