Shared Workspaces

I created a Sharepoint shared workspace for a spreadsheet I am creating. I was unhappy with the filename with the file saved on the Sharepoint workspace so I renamed the file. When I opened the file on my local computer, the task pane for the Shared workspace shows a failed update attempt. How can I reconnect the two files so that if I work on one, the other will update? The task pane only has an option to CREATE a document workspace, and not an option to establish a connection to an already existing workspace. Does anyone know a way to reconnect to an existing workspace
