SharePoint Designer 2007 crashes every time I try to save changes

Can't modify a single page without a program crash. Locks up and restarts.
Pretty much dead in the water. Zero problems with other Office 2007 apps.

How are you opening the web??
From what I understand, the edit live with FTP feature has some issues.

Remember, it is not the final product - it is still in Beta testing; report
it to Microsoft - they must surely have some method for feedback for such
issues?

Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download FP Cleaner ( with
Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support )
Download links are at the bottom of the page.
Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.

See if it helps.

FP Cleaner did not solve the problem.

Hi There,

I was having the same issue. Not only that but FrontPage 2003 stopped
saving as well. I tracked it down to an issue with the MS Data Access
for Web DAV dll (msdaipp.dll). When I unregistered the new one that had
been installed as part of the Office Beta and put the old one in it's
place (I grabbed it from a box that had a working version of FP 2003)
everything was good. At least so far...

Hope that helps,

Dion

Hi,

What was it exactly you did to solve the problem and did this solve the
problem for sharepoint designer too?

I am having the same exact problem you just described.
Did unregistering the new msdaipp.dll and replacing it with the old one
break anything in Office 2007 B2?
