SharePoint Designer 2007 vs. Expressions Web

Hello,

Being a user of Frontpage 2002, I'm now getting back into web design.
What's the difference? And, why would you need SharePoint Server?

I know that this may seem stupid, but I've been out of the IT world for
about 4 years.
