Sharepoint Files Tool

I am using the Sharepoint Files tool to create an offline copy of our WSS 3.0
files.
Is there a way, when I create a new file, to save the file directly into
Groove so it will synchronize with WSS?
The only way I am able to do it now is to save it locally and then upload
into Groove to be synchronized.
