Sharepoint Home Page

All,

I am trying to customize the Sharepoint home page. I added
my name in a table in the Default.htm page using notepad,
refreshed and it appeared above the home page menu. Then I
deleted my name, saved it then refreshed the sharepoint
home page and NOW the content in the middle is gone. Has
anyone ran into this before? Is there a fix repair for
this?

I got it to work again. I went and added a section, saved
it refreshed and wala. wierd.
