SharePoint Permissions in Project Server 2007

Somehow all of the users got deleted from the SharePoint permissions in our
Project Server 2007 system. If you go to Site Settings, Advanced
Permissions, only people we've added, or edited their information from Manage
Users, show up. The resource pool looks fine in the resource center.

Does anyone know how to get all of the users to synch with SharePoint again?
We tried restarting the services on the server, but it didn't work. Thanks!

Try going through each security group and making a change -- I believe
that simply saving the group should be sufficient to trigger a resync of
the PWA Root Site permissions.

This should result in the execution of a queue job that will go through
each security group, empty it, and re-add the appropriate users.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't work. I tried saving
groups and categories, and every kind of bulk edit of resources that I could
think of; opening in Project Pro, using Bulk Edit from Resource Center, and
checking multiple resources in Project Center and editing one-by-one (using
the Save and Continue button). The only thing that I've found that works so
far is opening and saving each resource individually, but of course I'm
trying to avoid that.

Do you have any other ideas? Thanks!

I guess the group sync won't create missing users... sorry about that.
As far as I can tell, there's no way to do it through the UI other than
what you're doing.

It does appear to be possible to use one of the internal PSI methods to
do this, but if you're not a developer, I wouldn't suggest you try --
especially in production.

Dave:

This is indicative of a failure in the sync system partially through the
process. Have you looked for failed queue jobs? Errors in the ULS logs?
