Sharepoint portal server - can it be used?

Can Sharepoint portal server be used with Microsoft
Project Server Enterprise deployment instead of
Sharepoint Team Services? Help!!!

With 2002 version, this requires custom integration. With 2003, Portal
Server integration is out of the box.
