Hello,
I am trying to run the Sharepoint team services install
from the MSP Server CD. Everytime I run the install I get
the error described in Kb article 323024 PSRV2002: "Run-
Time Error 76" or "Could Not Create the Subweb" Error
Message When You Install Microsoft SharePoint Team
Services for Microsoft Project Server
We had the system set up and running fine originally but
several issues later we decided on a re-install. I went
through and uninstalled everything, Shrepoint, Project
Server, the SP and PS databases, the MSP SQL Db users,
the relevant folders in IIS including all subwebs.
We unistalled IIS completely and reinstallened, ensure no
FrontPage extentions were running, and deleted folder 50.
various reboots, and attempts later still the same.
I have had this before and resolved it by following the
above Kb article. This time is different because although
the install cogs keeps turning for a long time (up to six
minutes) nothing seems to happen at all, Sharepoint is
not installed and there are not sharepoint folders in the
Default website.
It is a two server set-up with Project Server on one
server and the SQL Dbs held on another. If it was a
connectivity or permissions issue I would expect the set-
up to fail as soon as I enter the DB server and login
details.
I think our next step will be to completely wipe both
servers and start from sratch!!
Does anyone have any other suggestions.
Thanks
