Sharepoint Truncating Inforpath Field

Hi,
I have an Infopath form published as a content type in Sharpoint. On the
form there is a text field which is a concatenation of Item fields which is
then publised as 'merged'. This means that the field can contain a large
number of characters. My problem is that sharepoint imports this field as a
'Single Line of Text' by default as so truncates at 255 characters.
How can I get this field imported without sharepoiunt truncating?
