I maintain an Access database that contains data from my company, and also
data from two other companies. I want to be able to allow the other two
companies some kind of direct access to the database, so they can add and
maintain their own records. The problem is, the database is inside our
firewall and I would have to navigate enough red tape to get to the moon and
back before I could get permission to give them that type of access.
Are there ways to "share" the database, maybe indirectly, that would still
allow them to directly input and edit their own data, while keeping folks
from outside companies on the other side of the firewall? Can we have
multiple copies that are somehow synchronized once a day or week?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
