Is it possible to access eachothers outlook calendars if you don't have
exchange installed on the network?

They are using Outlook 2003.

Thanks

Sort of. You can use an FTP server to use the scheduling features of
Outlook Calendars. You can't see what items actually are and you don't get
the different colors for out-of-office, tentative, etc.

You setup the FTP access in Outlook under File|Open|Outlook Data File...
Then in the "Look in" dropdown box at the top go to "Add/Modify FTP
Locations." There you put in the FTP server name and account info if not
using anonymous FTP. Then you go to Tools|Options and in the Preferences
tab select "Calendar Options." Then select "Free/Busy Options." At the
bottom you want to "Publish at my location" with a format of --
ftp://ftpservernameorIP/username.vfb and a searchpath of
ftp://ftpservernameorIP/%NAME%.vfb

Hope that helps.

This could depend on what mail server software you are using. We use MDaemon
here at work and they have a plugin (GroupWare) that allows this
functionality.
