Sharing Violation Error Message

Thought I would post this question again since it has been 4 days with no
response. Thanks

Hi, a couple of my co-workers have randomly been getting this error message
when trying to save a workbook after opening and modifying it:

"The document was saved successfully, but Excel cannot re-open it because of
a sharing violation. Please close the document and try to open it again."

I also received this message recently with a document that I was working on.
This makes no sense because noone else had the document open. Does anyone
know what this means and how to remedy it?
