sheet tabs changes

is there a way to either move the sheet tabs to a vertical
position on the right side of the page, or change the tab
names to vertical.

No, but you can right click on the the little arrows at the far left of the tabs and you will see
an easier to read listing. Just choose 'more sheets' to get a scrollable list.

If you have a lots of sheets & you want simple sheet
navigation use vba macro to activate inbuilt seet activate
dialogox. See this link for some methods.
