ShellExecute on chinese machine

System: Windows XP, Office 2003.
From an access.mdb I open another access.mdb with the api shellexecute
command. I am passing parameters for workgroup file, username and password.
With Regional settings extended language = German or English it works fine.
With language = Chinese (PRC) it fails.
Any suggestions?

Hi Alex,
unfortunately I start the shellexecute command without asking for the return
value, so I do not get any error.
When xp is started with english language setting, the shellexecute works
fine, the frontend mdb gets loaded. But I use some other api-functions,
especially SHFileOperation to copy, move, delete files and if the filename
contains chinese characters I also get errors.
