Shift+_ and Enter after that creates a line that could not be deleted -HELP!

I created an underscore line by pressing Shift+_. Then I pressed Enter and this created a line in the
document that could not be deleted.

I would appreciate any help.

Hi TT,

It sounds as if you've created a "Border Line".

What I would suggest is first go to Tools/ AutoCorrect Options/
AutoFormat as You Type, and deselect the box that says "Border lines".

Then go to Format/ Borders and Shading, and under Borders, click
"none".

Hopefully this will help, it works for me in Word 2003.

Terrific! It worked.Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction. Indeed, it creates a border that can
be deleted by going to "Format/Borders & shading... and clicking on None in Borders tab.
