Shockwave Flash Object Inserted = Text Problems

Help! I am a teacher working on an advanced degree and I have a presentation
due tonight. I created my first Flash movie for my opening slide and it is so
cool! I used a template from a website banner so it has images and it had a
Notepad file that I replaced my text in with my Title, Subtitle, Topics on
the buttons, etc. I want to then make it so someone watching the presentation
can click on a Topic button and it will take them to the appropriate slide.

However, when I bring in the Flash movie, it does not bring in the text file
(Notepad file). When I run the movie independently of PowerPoint, it runs
together; everything is fine. It is not good without the text. How do I bring
in that text file and link it up to run together?

My time is running short and I just cannot figure this out?! Thank you!

You cannot. Movies always run by themselves.

When a flash file references another application (Notepad in this case)
PowerPoint has no idea what it is or how to handle it. Soooo, it simply
ignores it. You must also consider that if it was allowed it would be a
huge security risk.

I could write a script in Flash to say, re-format your hard drive just as
easily as display a text file. <g>

Riley,
Which version of the player are you using? In Flash Player 8.0 several new
security measures were impletemented. Also have you enabled the
AllowScriptAccess property?
