hi
Howdy.

I'm new to frontpage and I was wondering if it is
possible to import a shockwave movie and if so,
how do I import it?

Drag the file from Windows Explorer and drop it into the
FrontPage Folder list or Folders view.

To display the file in a Web page:

o With FP2003:
1. Choose Picture from the Insert menu, and then
Movie In Flash Format.
2. When the Select File dialog box appears,
locate your Flash file and click Insert.

o With FP2002 and earlier:
1. Choose Web Component from the Insert menu.
2. Choose Advanced in the Component Type list
box at the left.
3. Choose Plug-In from the Choose A Control list
box at the right.
4. Click Finish.
5. When the Plug-In Properties dialog box appears,
click the Browse button to locate your Flash file.

Hello again
o With FP2003
1. Choose Picture from the Insert menu, and the
Movie In Flash Format
2. When the Select File dialog box appears
locate your Flash file and click Insert

Thank you Jim for that, but I have FP 2003, and when I did what you said, the movie (game) gets put onto the page but I cannot see it running, and when I do "preview in browser" it does not work.

Have you, or anybody else, got any ideas why

Yes I do have shockwave installed, and if I right-click
the movie in the "preview browser" mode I get: "movie not
loaded" and it stays like that, the movie never
loads... :S

In Windows Explorer browse to the file, right click on the file, select
"Open with" and then select Internet Explorer and see what happens.

I've done that and it works, the only thing is that
before it loads, there is an error message which appears
saying there isn't the Xtra enabled or it isn't working
properly.

But the shockwave movie (game)works fine ... now how does
it work well in frontpage..?

Try this Insert/Web Component/Advanced Controls/Then click Plugins. The only thing youll have to Correct is the size and its very easy and if you could use cells to place to flash or the rest of your page will unalign itself youll see.I use alot of flas
and the best way is with cells
