"shootout" menus in FP

I am not sure this is the correct term for what I want. The page has a
vertical row of buttons down the left side, representing the top-level of
the site's navigation structure. When the user mouse-overs (or clicks) one
of the buttons, a sub menu displays immediately to the right of the button.
These sub menus have the 2nd level navigation commands. How do I do this in
FP XP? THanks,

I believe it is done with java script. There may be products to help set it
up.
