Shortcut does not work

I use the Paint Brush quite a bit. The short cut shown when you roll
over the tool button says: Ctrl+Shft+C.

But when I try this keyboard combination nothing happens.

I can't find FormatPainter in the Customize Keyboard window.

I assume I could record a macro and assign a short cut key, but that
seems like a sloppy work around. If there is a better shortcut
solution? how would you differentiate between the one time mode of
FormatPainter VS the Sticky mode?

Also, is there an easy way to display all they keyboard short-cuts I
have assigned? I am afraid I may have superseded something important.

Any particular version of word?

Sorry,
Word 2000

That key shortcut also doesn't work for me in a plain vanilla word
2000 instaln - no keys changed.

It is in the Tools-customize-keyboard panel under "Edit" "Copyformat".

The multiple paint works (using the mouse), but not exactly as
described in the popup help.

Look up "keyboard" then "Using shortcut keys" in the keyword in help
and it will tell how to list/print all shortcut keys.

Why don't you just use a mouse - is it on a notebook?

This is interesting, but overwhelming. I think most people would find
a list that only shows the ones the user has overridden or assigned
more useful. Also showing the macro assignments would be nice. I am
not a programmer, but it seems like their is not much VBA can't do. I
imagine the this built in Macro could be edited do do what I would
like?

For the same reason all the other keyboard shortcuts exist: speed. ;-)

For what it's worth, my problem was that I had assigned Ctrl-C to
something else. Once I got rid of that it work. I will say it again,
it where would be nice to see a list of ONLY the keyboard assignment I
have made ie; the non-default ones.
