Shortcut for diferent shading colors

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi there, i've searched all over the net into how to create a new shortcut for diferent shadding colors, example : command+control+a to fill de sheet in a red color, command+control+s to fill the sheet in a green color and command+control+z to fill the sheet in a purple color... is there a way to do that? in windows i've used a macro to do that but since excel 2008 doesnt have this options what do i need to do? thank you

No, there is no provision in Excel for assigning a keystroke to fill with a
specific color. Lacking VBA one other option might be Apple Script.

Sorry, without VBA you can't do this.

You can add a shortcut that will open the dialog, but you still have to
select the colour with the mouse.

You may wish to fall back to Excel 2004.

Is apple script similar to vb? and where do i open its console?
Well, Applescript is NOT similar to VB. Look for the applescript editor
in your utilities folder.
