Shortcut

I know that this is off topic but I don't know where else to go.
Is there any reason that I can not get a program to "send to... Desktop
(create shortcut).
I have a customer that is trying to make a shortcut on her desktop for
our software. We've explained how to go to START, ALL PROGRAMS,
right-mouse click on the program, select SEND TO..., Desktop (create
shortcut) but she claims that no shortcut appears.

Any ideas????

Thanks as always,

Don't know why there is a specific problem with this but
there are three other ways to create a shortcut on the
desktop.

1. Right click, hold mouse button down and drag (right
drag) from the program's menu to the desktop. Drop onto the
desktop and then select copy.

2. Start Windows Explorer. Find the .exe file for the
software. Right drag the file to the desktop. Drop there.
Select either copy or Create shortcuts, whichever is
available.

3. Right click the desktop. Left click New, left click
shortcut. In the first window that opens, click Browse and
drill down in the file menu to the .exe file for the
software. Once there, click on the file then click Next.
In the next window, type in the title to the program (what
shows below the program icon and click Finish.

If none of these methods work, there is probably a policy
set in the computer in question that prevents changing the
desktop.
