The default installation behavior for Office XP when using "setup /a" is
to create short file names, correct?
And then when you install service packs or updates you need to use the
"SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE" option.
Is there any way to force Office to install using long file names from
the initial install? If you did "setup /a SHORTFILENAMES=FALSE", would that
work?
