Should a beginner buy and start with 2003?

I have downloaded trial versions of both 2003 and 2007. I am a beginner and
want to buy one of them. Is it better for me to have 2003?

In most cases I would recommend that you purchase Office 2007. You will
have a learning curve for either, so you may as well learn the new
interface.

If you a buying Office to prepare for a job or a class where they are using
the older version, than purchase Office 2003.
