Should be basic - Length and Width Visio 2007

Hi, I'm sorry if these questions are so basic but I'm getting very
frustrated

I'm trying to do a floor plan for a building we're moving into.

1. How can I add a Space and tell Visio it is 10.5 x 9.25 feet, for
example? It lets me resize by dragging but I don't see where I can
manually type in the correct measurements.

2. Is it possible to drill down into the various diagram options? For
example, if I layout the Floorplan can I then choose a space/room and
do an Office Layout?

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

menu View -> Size & Position Window
Select the shape you want to resize and you can modify the Width and
Height.
Be careful though, not every shape should be resized in this way, some
shapes take their dimensions etc from a calculation involving other
shapes. You can also look at far more detail of the shape's data by
selecting the shape and then from the menu:
Window -> Show Shapesheet
This will show you if a formula is used to calculate dimensions.
