Should I uninstall Outlook 2002 on Vista?

Hi,
I purchased a Toshiba laptop, installed with Vista a few months ago. After
my trial vers. of Office 2007 expired, I installed an older version of Office
that I have. I am using Outlook 2002, and am starting to see issues -
software crashes, and an occasional "upgrade" message regarding
compatability. :(
(I'm gonna miss using outlook - but am not forking out extra dough for an
upgrade right now).

After reading some of the posts here - I've started migrating over to
Windows Mail. My question is, should I completely uninstall Outlook 2002, or
can I leave it on my system? Could leaving Outlook on my system cause more
serious issues down the road?

Thanks!!
