Should we purchase v3.1 licenses or use 2007 beta?

We're ready to move forward with using Groove in my organization. Should I
purchase the v3.1 licences now. And if we do, should we installing 3.1 or
2007 beta? Or should we just dl & install 2007 beta, wait for it to go Gold,
then purchase it's license?
