"Show/Hide Puncuation" button is Missing in Action . . HELP ME FIN

I have tried both solutions offered in the past:1) go to view and clear all
options except "Standard" 2) click Alt, then Shift+F10.
Nothing has worked . . . please help me find it. Also since I am NOT
totally computer literate I need simple step by step instructions.

If you're using Word 2003 or earlier, you can either reset the toolbar or
restore the missing command using Tools | Customize. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/RestoreMenuCmd.htm (written for
menus but applies also to toolbar buttons).
