Show number of meetings left today by 'Calendar' in Folder List

I am not sure if this is already a feature I just can't find, but I just had
a thought that could make things quicker. Every time I get to work in the
morning I have to click on the 'Calendar' item in the Folder List pane and
scan the calendar for whether or not I have any meetings that day. It would
be really nice if the 'Calendar' item in the Folder List behaved like any
other email folder such as 'Inbox' which, when there are items requiring my
attention, such as new emails, shows a count in ()'s next to the folder name.
It would be great if I could just look at the 'Calendar' in the Folder List,
see a (3) next to it and know that I have three meetings that day, or nothing
next to it to know that I have no meetings (yet) that day. As the day goes
on, the number of meetings could dynamically change--as the time/duration of
one meeting passes [decrement count in ()'s], for example.
