show pictures every 5 seconds in a frame

I'm trying to show a sequence of pictures, replacing each other at a
specified time interval - Frontpage 2002 had a web component that would
perform this function - - can't find it in Frontpage 2003 ? ? ?

I think you mean banner ad manager.
You'd be better off Googling for a javascript slide show.

That won't change the images, it will only refresh the frame.

What happened to the banner ad manager in FP 2003? I follow the instructions
to add it to the commands but it will not appear when I go to Insert>Web
Components>Dynamic Effects.

View Toolbars Customize Commands and drag it to your tool bar
