Show Start Variance and Finish Variance w graphical indicators?

Q: I am trying to create a project view in PWA that shows start variance and
finish variance with traffic-light indicators. I have two questions.

1) Is there a way to show the standard Start Variance and Finish Variance
with graphical indicators?

2) If not, I have created two Enterprise Duration fields called "Start Var."
and "Finish Var." I set their values to equal Start Variance and Finish
Variance, respectively. But they do not get populated correctly. When I
show the Start Variance column and the Start Var. (Enteprise Duration1)
column side by side, on every detail line Start Variance has a value and
Start Var. says "#Error". What is going on and how can I fix it?

1. You must use two custom fields as you are already doing.

2. Open the project in question and then press the F9 function key to
recalculate the project. This should clear the #Error message in the field.
