Showing bookmark names

Mike

I have created a form in Word 2003 which has both fields
and bookmarks, I know how to show where the bookmarks are,
but is there any way to show the names of the fields and
bookmarks on the page?

Hi Mike,

I have this macro in a global template, and assigned to an item on the
right-click shortcut menu:

Public Sub BookmarkName()
If Selection.Bookmarks.Count > 0 Then
StatusBar = Selection.Bookmarks(1).Name
End If
End Sub

Right-click anywhere within the bookmark and select this item, and its
name will show in the status bar at the bottom of the Word window.

You should add the item to several of the right-click menus, including
Text, Form Field, Table Text, Headings,... See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm if
you need instructions.
