Showing "shared" assistant

How do I show an assistant that is shared between 2 managers? Everytime I
draw in the connectors and move to the 2nd manager to join them to the
assistant, the lines connecting the first two disappear.

Please help..it's making me crazy! lol

David Parker's solution works well. You can change the line type to solid.
If you don't want the extra step. just add a regular line.
