Shred - Wash with Bleach??

I am unable to remove old programs from my computer - I go to add/remove
programs and the remove option is not on the ones I want to remove, Is there
another way to remove old programs? I saw Shred - Wash with Bleach
Will that remove the old programs??

A. Your problem is not germane to this MS Office forum - you need the
Windows forum

B. If the program is not listed in the Add/Remove programs, look in its
folder for an unistall program. If there is none, then just delete the
program's folder. Only user stronger tools if the files won't delete in a
normal manner. The Shred app you reference seems to be a respectable tool.

The programs are listed in the add/remove program - when I highlight the
program I want to delete, the remove tab is not available! They are all
Microsoft programs
Encarta
Microsoft home publishing 2000
Microsoft Picture it
Streets and Trips
Word 2000
I purchased Microsoft Suites 2006 and attempted to install it but it
wouldn't let me until the old programs were removed!
What purpose does the Shred Wash with Bleach serve? Will it remove a
program?

Look in the program files folder for each of those - there may be a
setup.exe in the folder - run that. It should bring up a remove option. If
you still have the installation disks for the programs you want to delete,
try running the setup from those to delete, or first repair then delete.

The Shred program, from what I see after googling it, is a deletion program
helpful for spyware/adware that normally resists deletion.
