Shredding Email

I've heard that deleting emails from Outlook isn't permanent unless you shred
them. How is this done?

I can imagine some smart alec telling you to print then shred them. <g>

What type of email account? If you empty deleted items and compact the pst,
they are effectively gone. Some may be recoverable with forensics software
but the typical hacker won't be able to recover them.

I take offense at that =)

I'd also suggest asking the person who said it in the first place. Odds are
they were talking about a third party add-on that may (or may not) do what
it is advertised to do.
