Signature Files

I'm wondering if there are limitations placed on what
Outlook can handle in terms of signature files? We have
the occasional user here who gets the message "signature
file cannot be used" - Quitting and re-launching will
usually take care of it. Sometimes I have to go so far as
to trash Exchange Preferences and Exchange Profiles and
re-create the profile AND signature file. We have one
user though who continues to get this message no less
than a few days after I've reinstalled the entire program
and created her profile from scratch. Character limit?
Color/Font choice causing a problem? Thoughts? I
appreciate any help, thanks!

I have seen this issue reported by our customers who were using some sort of
Font Managing software. The issue there was the corruption of Font being
used in signature file. Generally these programs practice a very restrictive
control of your fonts resulting in this issue.

I admit it is hard to troubleshoot this type of issue, see if changing fonts
help you or not. Also see if a new mail profile helps you. An in-depth
investigation will involve building a new machine with basic Mac OS 9, then
install Outlook 2001 for Mac, do not install any other third party program
yet, log in as a user who sees this issue all the time or most frequently,
see if you can repro the issue, I bet you won't be able to do so. Now start
installing all other third party programs you generally use in your company,
test intensively after installing every program, i.e. all possible scenarios
which result in this issue currently for your users. That will tell you in
the end which program causes this issue in Outlook 2001.

Hope this helps...
