signature not inserting into message

I have set up several signatures within Outlook 2003, but when I try to use
them, they are not visible on the drop down or selection menu!. I have tried
re-installing office, but this does not fix the problem. This is only
happening since I have reinstalled Vista and office due to needing to
re-format the H/D.

Can anyone suggest a reason why this is happening and a possible solution.

Are you using Word or Outlook as the email editor?
Does changing it make a difference?

Which method creating did you use?
Which method of inserting do you use?
Do you have a default signature specified?
