when i originate an email in word with the Word docutment as an attachment ...

Office Button, Send, Email (send a copy of the document in an e-mail message
as an attachment)

my signature is not automatically included.

is there a way to turn this on.

It's automatic when i originate or reply or forward in Outlook

The Outlook Signature feature is a feature of Outlook not Word. Word will
create the email but doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that Outlook
has, unfortunately.
