would be preferred by many that you do not, unless it is critical to your business.

possible to have an swf file as my custom signature???

Most any media file can be dragged into a new signature window,
including pictures, movies, etc., so long as the signature is in HTML
format.

However, anything over a certain size (I believe 400k) will be converted
to an attachment, which defeats your purpose.

I *strongly* suggest you never add any media files to your signatures.
While they may be a novelty the first time, they eventually add bloat to
your Sent Items as well as your recipients' Inboxes. Furthermore, they
substantially increase the time needed to send and receive your message.
Anyone one a slower connection will have to wait until your message
downloads before he can receive any additional messages.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bill, thanks for all the info!
For some reason, the swf is the only file i am unable to drag and drop into my signature window...Needless to say, couldn't even try it to see what a drag it would have been...I figured it wasnt a great idea, but somehow am determined to make a signature with hyperlinx/my own personal logo that is capable of links, and displaying the proper way...
Thanks for all the help, appreciate it.

why would it be not preferred.

Messages are larger and bloat your database plus they take longer to
download. If you select to use Spotlight to include your attachments, it
will add a copy of the graphic EVERY time you receive an email from that
person filling up your hard drive.

I suggest that you use this special sig once when you first contact a
person, but after that switch to a more acceptable sig.

Don’t waste time with unbusinesslike signatures

You don't need to be so concerned about form over function. Include a
URL that includes the "http://" and the receiving mail client will
convert that to a clickable link. You don't need to embed one.

Again, media files (such as your logo) only serve to bloat your Sent
Items as well as your recipients' Inboxes. This gets very annoying over
time. I suggest you stick with plain text. Leave the marketing out of
your signatures.

Hope this helps!
