Simple Infopath form dropdown list works in Infopath but not brows

I have created a simple form with a single dropdown populated from a web
service. The form is fine when run in the Infopath client but the dropdown
fails to populate when run in Sharepoint with a browser. Any ideas how to
troubleshoot this would be very welcome.

The webservice is on the same server as the sharepoint server. The database
is being hit with the query when the form is loaded in the browser so I know
there is no permission problem accessing the web service or the database.

Further to this post I created another simple webservice to accept some data
from the form and write an entry to the database. This worked fine - so I can
get data out of the form into the database via a webservice but nothing is
being retrieved.

To re-iterate - only when the form is run as a web-based form. Everything is
fine when run in the Infopath client.
