simple numbering to a chart

I would like to have a group of numbers in a cell show in a chart. example 3,4,5,6,7, in a graph where the value axis is 1 thru 31 and the catagory axis is each month of the year. The group of numbers must be in a single cell, because of other unrelated data is also being collected. Is this possible?
