Simple Request - But no answers

Okay, I am frustrated beyond belief. Twice I have set up meetings as a task
on a project. I've tried fix duration, units and work. I've tried effort
driven and not effort driven. I've tried estimated and not estimated. The
duration keeps changing as people report time against it. For example, I set
up the most recent one with four people for two hours. Great. As soon as the
first person reported that they spent two hours at that meeting Project
changed the duration to 7.5 hours!

Simple request: How do you set up a meeting for four people for two hours?

Effort Driven or not Effort Driven?
Fix Duration, Work or Units?
For each resource - Units and Work?
Other critical settings?

Please, what are the right settings? This shouldn't be that tough. Thanks.

That's why meeting are a waste of time :)

(4 people) times (2 hours) = (8 hours)

Set up the task as Fixed Duration, not effort driven.
8 hours "Work",
..25 day "Duration"

Now, if someone puts in only 1 hour, it will push the Duration
out one more day. They must all put in exactly 2 hours.
If someone put in 3 hours, then total Work will go from 8h to 9h,
but Duration will stay as is.
