Simplify and secure shortcuts instead of restricting their use!

This is getting ridiculous! I create my own Office document (Access, Excel,
Outlook, whatever) and I get security messages telling me I might be trying
to infiltrate myself with a virus! Now, if I put a shortcut in a journal
document, I can't use it unless I save it (again) to a folder!!! Absurd!!!
Can't you make shortcuts that simply point to a document without making them
a potential trojan horse? Computer features that have been normal since the
90's are now almost unusable. We might as well go back to using CP/M or
something. Simplify shortcuts to make them safe and usable, or replace them
with Mac-like aliases so we don't have to fool around with such nonsense!

If you are using Norton anti virus, switch off the office plug-in; or better
still remove Norton completely and install a less bloated and better behaved
anti-virus package.
