i had both on my pc, the newer one
was a beta version at the time. And
I encountered no problems. When time
came it was easily uninstalled.
However, i recall a few threads where
some installed the newer version over
the older version instead of installing
it into a seperate directory.
Also, if I recall, the issue of document versions
posed a conflict, whereas one version was
inaccessiable by the other version.
And i think that the newer office has somekind
of pdf add-in or something that conflicted with
the installed adobe pdf software.
but the above are just remnants of my
experience. Ultimately, I found the
ribbon bar displeasing and distracting.
It's was like those old cars with the
batman wings on the backside.
Seemingly they appeared to be wind
stabilizers for high velocity driving.
But the cars were clunky, heavy and slow.
However i could see the appeal it would
have for others.
But I need a "VIPER" with jet fuel.....!
Has anyone elase tried running both Office 2003 and 2007 on the same PC?
We're testing running them both on a few PCs in my organization in hopes of
easing the transition. So far they seem to coexist fine but I was wondering
if anyone else had experiences to share.
Thanks,
Isaac
