single space detail of a report

I have one line of fields across the report (tabular report) and want the
data to appear single spaced. I tried Format command option to decrease
spacing & it didn't work. I tried have a 0 property set in the property box
for line spacing and still each line of detail comes in double spaced? Any
ideas?

You did try dragging the bottom of the detail section up to
the bottom of the controls, didn't you?

If you did, did it stay there?

Maybe there's something else going on that causes this, but
I can't guess what it might be without more details.

Have you tried dragging your section divider up closer to the bottom of the
controls. This will shrink the size of the section so that the section
repeats with out the white space.
