Site name vs. IP Address

I am developing a web site using Frontpage 2003. For internal reasons we want
to use the IP address of the site rather than the name. Everytime I save the
site from Frontpage, all references to the IP address are replaced with the
site name.

Has anyone seen this and if so, how to get Frontpage from doing this favor
for me?

Do you have an individual IP address assigned for the domain, or is it a shared IP
address, used by several domains??
If it's shared, you must use the domain name. ( URL )

We have a single domain. This IP address is assigned to only one system.

Ok.
When you publish back to your machine, FrontPage changes the domain to match the folder
that contains the web.
When you publish back to the IP it "Should" change it back.

Also, make sure all links in the web are relative links and not absolute links.
It will save you a lot of headaches.

Besides Frontpage has nothing to do with it assigning an IP to your domain.

People can still find the domain with just the IP.

What is your reason for doing this - "security"?
