Sites from server to FP

So my laptop takes a dive and dies, I re-install FP and now I need to pull
all my files and such from the server back to my laptop.

Any idea how I do that?

I have my DNS numbers, etc. from my server. I 'm just too dumb to figure
out how to set it all up to re-install on my system.

Anyhelp would be great.

Thanks,

Thank you, but the directions either do not apply to my situation or I didn't
clearly state my problem. The process, as listed on the site says:

2. On the File menu, click Open Web to open the web you want to copy to the
local hard disk.
3. On the File menu, click Publish Web.

When I click File menu, then click Open Web I do not have anything there
other than the "private" and "images" files. And they are empty. That's the
problem. Everything is gone and I need to pull it from the server.

Of course with the Open Web box open I cannot click the File menu and
publish anything.

It sounds like you may have the option for FrontPage to open last web site
automatically when FrontPage starts and it's opening a web site on your PC.
Uncheck that option under Tools | Options | General and click OK.

Then do a File | Close Site to close the site on your PC. Then do a File |
Open Site and type in your live web site address, provide your FP publishing
username and password and open the site. Then do a File | Publish Site and
publish to a location on your PC. Then close the live site.
